Have you ever been to a great education conference? The kind that you really didn't want to end?
I get the opportunity to go to those conferences all the time and when I return, I don't want to lose that energy and all the positive vibes that go along with it.
Change happens when we get tired of being stuck in the same place and make a commitment to do something different. When you come back from a conference, you can guarantee change in your classroom if you'll do two things…
First, come back with three specific ideas that you will implement in your class quickly. Success loves speed and the faster you can implement something new, the more successful you'll be in the long term.
You'll feel it, your administration will feel it, and most importantly your students will feel it.
Second, make sure you share with at least three people in your building what you're doing. Spread the awesome to folks that couldn't go and let them feed off your energy.
